Our commitment to accessibility

Accessibility matters to us because our whole business is about meeting people where they are, in person and online. We believe a website should work for everyone, including people who navigate with a keyboard, use a screen reader or other assistive technology, prefer larger text, or turn off animation. This statement explains what we aim for, what we have built in so far, and where we know there is still work to do.

The standard we aim for

We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA as our target. These are the internationally recognised guidelines for making web content perceivable, operable, understandable and robust. Where a part of the site does not yet fully meet that level, we say so honestly below rather than claim otherwise.

What we have done

Accessibility has been considered while building this site, not added on at the end. Steps we have taken include:

• Semantic HTML with clear landmarks (header, navigation, main and footer regions) so assistive technology can understand the structure of each page.
• Menus, links and controls that can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a logical order.
• A visible focus indicator so keyboard users can always see where they are on the page.
• Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and empty alternative text on purely decorative ones so screen readers can skip them.
• Colour contrast chosen to be sufficient for body text and key interface elements against their backgrounds.
• Responsive layouts that reflow cleanly down to small phones, so content stays readable without side to side scrolling.
• Respect for the reduced-motion preference, so animation is minimised for people who ask their device to limit motion.
• Readable typography with sensible text sizing that scales when you zoom the page.

Known limitations

To be straightforward with you: this website is a concept demonstration, so it is a work in progress rather than a finished production site. We are aware of some areas that may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA:

• Some imagery is decorative and used to set a mood, and its captions or surrounding copy carry the meaning instead.
• A few instances of accent-colour text on the light background may fall just under the AA contrast threshold in certain lighting or on certain screens.
• Any third-party embeds or externally hosted content may not match the accessibility of the rest of the site, because they are outside our direct control.
• As a demonstration build, some pages carry sample content and placeholder figures, which are labelled as such where they appear.

If you come across a barrier that is not listed here, we would genuinely like to know so we can look into it.

If any part of this site is difficult to use, or you need information in a different format, please get in touch and we will do our best to help. Email us at hello@rsoluteinc.com. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and the device or assistive technology you were using, as that helps us find the problem quickly. We aim to reply within 48 hours.

Ongoing improvement

Accessibility is not a box we tick once. We review these points as the site develops, fix issues as we find them and as they are reported to us, and factor accessibility into new pages and features from the start. This statement will be updated as we make progress.
